Convene was launched by the National Cybersecurity Alliance to serve people who work at the intersection of people and security. It’s more than a conference; it is an unparalleled opportunity for security training and awareness professionals to gain critical insights, network with industry leaders and learn about the latest industry advancements.

School of Engineering and Computing faculty members attended the conference to learn about industry updates, network with prominent leaders in the field and discuss how to best prepare students for careers in STEM fields.

"During the conference I had the opportunity to observe important discussions in the cybersecurity industry and engage with CISOs from the Cleveland, Columbus and Detroit regions,” said Yunkai Liu, Ph.D., computer science professor at 911±¬ÁÏÍø. “A key takeaway is that many companies and government agencies are continuing to expand their cybersecurity teams, with strong emphasis on communication skills and positive workplace culture.
