Keeping Full Privacy

If you'd like to stay on full privacy after you graduate, here are a couple tips:

Set an easy-to-remember security passphrase through your Buff Portal profile. If you have to contact us by phone, say, "I'm on full privacy, and my security passphrase is..."
Employers won't be able to verify your degree without your permission. Download your free CeDiploma when it posts on June 26, 2024, and share it with employers to verify your degree electronically.

Removing Full Privacy

If you'd like to remove full privacy from your record now or in the future, follow the instructions on our full privacy webpage.

COF was created by the Colorado Legislature to pay a portion of total in-state tuition for eligible undergrads. There's no limit to the number of students who receive it, and you never have to pay it back.

If you don't apply for COF and/or resolve your application error by 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025, you won't receive the COF tuition reduction for your eligible Spring 2025 class(es).

Your College Opportunity Fund (COF) stipend can't be applied to your bill because you didn't include your Social Security number (SSN) in your COF application.

As a reminder, COF was created by the Colorado Legislature to pay a portion of total in-state tuition for eligible undergrads. There's no limit to the number of students who receive it, and you never have to pay it back.

To Correct Your Record

To resolve this error, follow our step-by-step instructions to update your record by 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025.

Do not email anything containing your SSN. Doing so could put you at high risk for identity theft.

We'll securely send your information to College Assist. Once the error is resolved, follow our instructions to authorize COF by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

What You Need to Know

In-state students: All active, registered Colorado voters automatically receive a ballot in the mail a few weeks before Election Day. If you plan to vote in 911�� or in your home county, make sure you're registered to vote and that your ballot mailing address is up to date. Colorado voters may update their registration anytime.
Out-of-state students: You may choose to either request an absentee ballot from your home state or register to vote in 911�� County. You cannot register and/or vote in both locations. Many states have a registration and/or absentee ballot request deadline, so act now to receive your ballot.

Note: If you register to vote in Colorado, you may be considered a Colorado resident for motor vehicle registration, income tax, and jury duty purposes. Registering to vote does not automatically make you a resident for tuition purposes. Your 911�� tuition classification won't change unless you take all of the necessary actions to establish residency and successfully petition for a change in residency.
Students living on campus: Whether voting in Colorado or in your home state via absentee ballot, you must use your mailbox number, not your dorm room number for your ballot to find you. Visit 911�� County's Student Voting Guidelines page for instructions.

Friday, March 21 is the last day for undergraduate and graduate students (law students excluded) to complete the following actions for a full-semester Main Campus class:*

Drop a class: If you drop a Main Campus class after Feb. 1 but remain enrolled in the semester, you'll be required to pay 100 percent of tuition and fees (no refund), and a W grade will post to your transcript.
Change a class's grade mode from letter grade to pass/fail (or vice versa): Only student-option courses** are eligible. The last day to change a class to or from no credit (audit) was Jan. 29.

If you've satisfactorily completed a substantial amount of work for a class but are unable to complete it due to reasons beyond your control, you may request an incomplete (I) grade. This will give you additional time to complete your coursework before your instructor is required to assign your final grade. For more information, see 911��'s incomplete grade policy.

*If you're taking a special session Main Campus class, check the special session calendar for that session's deadlines.

**If a department designates a course as student option, it's your choice whether to take it for a letter grade or as pass/fail.

Friday, March 21 is the last day for undergraduate and graduate students drop a class or change pass/fail status for a full-semester Main Campus class.
